Last weekend me and my friend Heather went to the quilt show in Hershey, PA. We had lots of fun and we really enjoyed the show. They had many beautiful quilts!
Here are some for you to enjoy!

Prituri se planinata - Stefka Sabotinova -RIP

I just found out that one of the greatest Bulgarian folk singers Stefka Sabotinova has past away. She was born on April 2, 1930 in Rose Well village, Stara Zagora. Sabotinova has many years of chorine Ensemble Philip Kutev and "The Mystery of Bulgarian Voices''. Became a worldwide with "add to the mountain, which in modern arrangement is used in film productions''. In June 2010 Stefka Sabotinova was awarded the highest Bulgarian award - the Order of Stara Planina - first degree. Bellow is the original version of the song. RIP Ms. Sabotinova.

"Asheley" Bag - Done and Show and Tell!

This is "Ashley" bag. I saw this bag at a quilt shop in Pittsburg and really liked it, but they were out of the pattern. So when my LQS ordered the pattern I had to make one.
I had a lot of fun picking the fabrics and playing with the order I sewed them in.

If you are going to the quilt show in Hershey, PA this weekend, you can see my bag at "Happy sewing room" booth. They borrowed the bag as a sample for the pattern.

I helped my friend Eleanor to make this table runner. She was very nice and made it from a fabric that my LQS carry and they took as a sample to the show, too.

I have a giveaway coming soon on my blog, so stay tuned!

PhD Challenge

I can't believe it's July already! I signed up for the PhD challenge (projects half done) with Myra. I had ambitious list of 6 quilts to be done. As many quilters I am working on a couple of projects at the same time. I am happy I finished two of them and I completed couple other projects that weren't on my list.
The first quilt is a charity quilt that I made for Quilts for kids. I encourage everybody to sign up and make one. You can read more about that quilt here.

The second project on my list was the Halloween quilt. I blogged about it here.

Thank you Myra for organizing this challenge!
