Gabriel's Alphabet Quilt

I made this alphabet quilt for my nephew Gabriel's 2nd Birthday. I think it will be fun for him to look at all the animals and help him learn the alphabet.

I remembered to take pictures before we shipped the quilt to him. The quilt is wrinkled because I washed it.

Here is close up of the quilting on my frame. I used a dragon tail panto that was fun to stitch.

Here are some of my survival flowers since it has been hot. Today is raining so we got some much needed rain!

As always, happy sewing!

Surprise in the mail and Christmas Block!

I received a lovely surprise in the mail yesterday! My blogging friend Cathy - From Cathy with Love sent me PIF (pay it forward) gift! I was so excited when I saw the lovely creations she made for me!

The pincushion is the best pincushion you can have! Cathy has another blog Made-with-love-by-Cathy that she sells her sewing creations on. If you would to see some of the other pincushions she has made she has a slide show on her blog and if you email her she can custom make one for you too. That would make a great gift!

I love the pincushions and needle book! I will use the pincushion every time I sew! I mean every time because she sent me a big one for by my machine and a small one to use when hand sewing!

Bellow is a Christmas block I made for my LQS. You buy from them a fat 1/8 for a dolar and when you make the block of your choice you get your dolar back. But you can win all the blocks that participate in the game, so wish me luck!
Until next time,
stay cool!
