Show and Tell

Last month I was in charge of out Club meeting at my LQS. The first quilt is made by Stacey for Quilt for kids! I am so proud of Stacey and she said she was inspirited by me. She wasn't done with the quilting when I took the picture, she did crosshatching on the quilt. I am very excited because Stacey said she is working on a second quilt now! Way to go Stacey!

Mary Alice made this adorabel name tag for herself for the guild meetings.

Judy showed her BOM finished quilt. She quilted it in a ditch with light color and used the same on the back, but now she decided to rip it off and redo it, because she didn't like the light color showing on the burgundy backing. I don't know if I will do that as it's a lot of work, but the quilt is worthy.

Judy was very creative, she said she wanted a scrappy looking quilt, but didn't have many lights so she stamped some of her fabrics. How creative is that! She also did a beautiful hand aplique on the blocks.

Pat Christ showed this quilt done in reproduction colors. I loved how she opened all the seams! I often do that too. Coming from clothing sewing the seams lay more flat.

Pat also showed this show stopper! She was inspired by a red and white quilt in a magazine and she made it with cheddar and blue.

Pat also did a demo of a new ruler she got, but this post is getting too long so I will show that later!

Have a great weekend and hopefully get some time to sew!

Lovely quilts in your show and tell! I, too, find myself pressing more and more seams open, with machine quilting they certainly won't pull apart when the quilt is finished and they do lay so nice and flat!

Zlaty,
Thank you very much for visiting my blog. I just love the beautiful quilts on your blog. You have such a lovely blog. I like the border very much and what colorful, pretty quilts. All of these quilts are masterpieces. My mother and sister, and grandmother were all quilters.

That sure is a talented group of ladies you're hanging with! I especially love the quilt with the seams pressed open. I love all the subtle color variations.
